-A co-worker, upon hearing I was quitting my job

This one really stuck with me. The truth was that it was a crappy job and thus lots of us had a bad attitude at work, including me. It showed me that people can still appreciate you, despite an environment that often leads to mutual hostility. I admire her honesty i ...[text shortened]... ng both my good and bad qualities. Give me that over a phony, exaggerated compliment any day.
I know what mean; someone who compliments you when they don't need to despite the obvious discomfort it is causing them are my favourites.

P.s what does TMI mean, or do I not want to know?

That's what it is.

On a totally unrelated note, please PM your cell #. Have some things that need discussed off-line.

Yesterday a co-worker told me, "I totally get how you think. I respect it and I think the same exact way." It would have done quite well as a compliment, if it weren't for the fact that he's quitting and everyone hates him and gossips about him behind his back.

Still, I'll take what I can get. Slim pickin's these days.

My boss recently said I was too good for words.

Well he never exactly said that.

He said. "You leave me speechless!"
You're a jewel in the rough, well a chunk of coal, but given enough heat and pressure... 🙂

Former co-worker: I see what you're thinkin'
Me: Trust me, you don't.

You left out some important details, so I'll fill them in:

Former living co-worker: "I see what you're thinkin."
Chesspraxis, wielding a bayonet-tipped flamethrower, dripping with blood: "Trust me, you don't."

Thumbs Down, if you think about them, are a form of left handed compliment... in the sense that at least somebbody isn't ignoring you.

So you're like the child who draws on the wall and breaks things because negative attention is better than no attention at all? Explains a lot.
