i only noticed because meman had shot up the ratings tables....and although i don't have a whim when timing out players with vacation flags saying " i might be able to move, but might not" and then keep it on even when they realise they do have connection, i do have a problem with people timing out players who have vacation messages saying "i am going through chemo" or " my wife is ill, i am by her bedside because she has severe cancer" or something like that.

but apart from that you can hire me to dig up dirt on whoever you like...preferably so that it lands right in your face!

It is of course quite possible that Meman never even read the Vacation message - not everyone trusts them, and with good reason.

i was thinking of writing a named and shamed list of players timing out a guy who's wife is dying but contemplating the number of inconsiderate A-holes who did it i decided against it.

Just like Amaurote wrote, it's quite possible that most of them never read the vacation message. And being timed-out is probably the least of InHisName's problems.

Hmmm, so you're cynical about these players' motivations, but you'll accept any vacation message on trust? Well, leaving that seeming contradiction aside, and as Nordlys says, I wouldn't be so sure 1800+ players playing scores of simultaneous games even have the time or inclination to look at profiles, let alone vacation messages.

I doubt if In His Name cares a rats ass that people are timing him out. He is by his wifes side in her hour of need. Thats what matters. The RHP ratings don't mean squat compared to that.

They would read them. That's the purpuse of vacatiion messages. If they believe it contents or not, it's another matter.

Secondly, crap. Vacation messages neither demand to be read nor trusted. Timeouts are legitimate, irrespective of the reason's veracity.

Don't clan games automatically time out after a while? This could well be the case. Just a thought?
