@mercury saidBest to pick people around your own rating if possible. As a non sub you only get so many games at a time. So you don't want to pick someone who takes a few days or longer to make a move. Invites are often a good way directly to the person letting them know you want to play them a game or two what ever you have available.
I’ve just put a few games up but didn’t title them. I will see how it goes.
Thanks

@mercury saidi barely made the tennis team when i was in high school
I’ve struggled this week to find suitable open games. I put a couple of games up myself but both were picked up by very high rated players so I deleted them before moving.
It seems I should just play whatever games I can get.
Thanks
the coach was rather hard-nosed
he made us run laps!
i wanted to be graceful and look stunning as i hit impossible to return balls across the net for the win!
he would not let me play against those i could beat
his words, "you won't get better until you play those who are better than you"
you will not learn the best, most reliable, most complex moves and strategies playing against those you can beat
challenge those "very high rated players"
lose those games
understand why they make the moves they do that makes them as good as they are
@rookie54 saidDoesn't make a whole lot of sense to be playing higher rated players, if you have no idea on what you did wrong and how you lost. Different story if the higher rated player is going to go over the game with afterwards. How many are willing to do that?

@ponderable saidThank you for the game ponderable I really enjoyed it and felt fortunate to squeeze a draw!
You know that you can put a comment on the title to state whom you are addressing in your open invite?
At least as a subscriber you can also choose rating bands for open invites.
I had to look hard for this thread as this forum is very busy!
@mercury saidAren't you two around the same rating?
