Cookie monster going on a diet

Heard it on cnn a little while ago. As part of a new more nutrionally concious sesame street the cookie monster will not longer sing the cookie song, nor binge on cookies. Now he'll sing how cookies are "an occaional treat".

A sad day for cookies...

.................That's sick. How could they do that? I had a damn cookie monster doll for like six years, and he had a cookie on his shirt, not a freakin apple or something. My whole day is ruined. Sheesh.

He's always been on a diet. He spits half the cookies out in the process of gorgement...

Due to having a 20 month year old daughter, I watch Sesame Street pretty religiously and I don't recall Cookie Monster ever being health aware or being made health aware by his pals.

In fact in Elmo's segment, Elmo was showing kids what some of his favorite healthy foods were and one of them was a pepperoni pizza????

Still I love da Cookie Monster.
