@suzianne saidDive is the Walter Mitty of RHP
I don't have "tales".
I bet when you were a kid, you had dreams of becoming PM by now, and you're just pissed that you never made it. Prolly should have studied more in school, and made more friends.
You strike me as one of these people who love to go "by the book" and you cannot stand it when people don't follow YOUR book of rules. You'd be way better off just enjoy ...[text shortened]... Loosen up. You're not going to live forever. Don't live a life you'll be full of regret for later.
@great-big-stees saidYeah, since 4th grade, so since age 8 or 9. Okay, 62 - 9 = 53.
Do you wear them and if so for how long?
Yes. Around 55 years.
Around age 20 I wondered if I would go blind because my prescriptions kept getting stronger and stronger.
Luckily they hit a plateau (or my brain gave my eyeballs no more room to grow) and my distance glasses are about 8.50 SPH and my reading glasses are about 6.00 SPH. (No dimestore reading glasses for me.)

-Removed-presibiopia starts in your 30s and gets progressively worse, I started needing distance lenses at 15 but never wore them (vanity) untill I needed them to drive, I have a lazy left eye and have been told that if anything happened to my right eye I would be registered partialy sighted..ps never bet on the GGs whilst pissed.
@very-rusty saidLikely genetics.🤔
Many kids wear glasses at a very young age. I don't believe age has anything to do with needing glasses.

@great-big-stees saidI believe that would be the correct answer for the majority of people who wear glasses.
Likely genetics.🤔
Some could have issues as they get older as has been pointed out. Or an accident or head injury could have caused them to lose vision.
