Countries most represented here.

Just thinking. Does anybody have any idea as to a country representation percentage. Thought it might be interesting to find out what country has the most players, if someone has any ideas on how to do this, it would be handy. Especially as we dont have a polling thingy.

I can tell you, the US leads the way, and then the UK.

Canada, Netherlands and Australia feature quite highly - but not quite to the same scale.

Relatively speaking, the Dutch are represented most (out of a pop of 16 mln against 60mln in the UK and 285mln in the USA). Especially in the top 20 of the site: 4 Dutch against 2 Americans, 1 Englishman and 2 Welshmen. So in that respect the Dutch are more in number here 🙂

I revise my post: there are 3 residents of the UK in the top 20 😀

If we are talking about per capita ratings in the top twenty then New Zealand takes the honours easily, three players on the 'first page' from a populus of a meagre 4 million.

And while we are still at it: there are only 16 people not from Holland in the top twenty. And that out of a pop of 6 billion! 😛😛😀😀

Slightly off thread but since were talking stats. I think I'm right in saying that:-

per capita there have been more OSCAR winners from Wales than from the USA

also

13 of the signatories to the Declaration of Independance were of Welsh heritage, one of whom was actually born in Wales.
