To me, it's too time consuming to look up a players origin according to their flag. I'd like to see the cuntry's name displayed next to the flag.
Maybe you should just give up some of your Chess time for extra geography lessons π
Yeah, I've often suggested ToolTips or whatever they're called - i.e. for the country name to appear when you hover over the flag. Plenty of support from users, but it seems (at best) to be bottom priority - hardly surprising when Russ has been working on major upgrades like yesterday's.
Anyway we're in the wrong forum here.
Originally posted by RussAha. Just checked out the new feature. Click the flag and you go to a list of all the players from that country. And the name of the country. I think that's a big improvement over going to the list of flags. Of course ideally I'd still like the tooltip too, but whatever...
A new landing page will be available when the flag is clicked very soon. (Tonight or tomorrow)

Originally posted by dmnelson84Why would this be important? I don't even see why one would want to display the flag next to the name. You're playing the player, not the country. Anyway, you're able to put up any flag you like, so the flag itself does not mean much.

I learnt the flags of every country and could find just about anywhere in the world on a map when i was 6. Being from the U.S though, i bet you couldnt even identify Europe or the Atlantic ocean (or New York)
By the way how's the world series going? π
