*sigh* this just sucks:
Today I went out and bought a vinyl record. Yes, as you can see, there are 16-year-olds who know what a vinyl record is. Before I tell you what it was, make sure you're sitting comfortably... ready? Ok, it was Chicago X by Chicago. Shocked now? Well, that was actually not my intention, I haven't even started whining yet.
The thing is, I bought it because I kinda like Chicago and it was only 5 Euros. Obviously, I wouldn't have bought it if we didn't have a record player. Then, when I came home, the first surprise: The record player was not, as I had thought, connected to the stereo in the living room... in fact, it was hidden in the cellar. Ok, so maybe it has been there for half a year without me noticing, but that's beside the point.
So, I went downstairs, took the record player up to my room and plugged it in. The record player is one of those old ones that don't have built-in loudspeakers, so I spent some time looking for the right cables, but then I had found them and I connected the record player to the loudspeakers from my computer... only to find it wouldn't work.
And why?
Because I don't have an amplifier. It just sucks. I hate my life. What did I ever do to deserve this?

Just go to Radio Shack or some electronics store and you might get something low-cost that will work with your computer.
Here's some more info
