Lone calvary officer get posted to an outpost where everyone has been killed. Stays and sorts the place out, gets friendly with a wolf and some injuns etc etc etc It`s a very good film, but ask your Dad first πŸ˜‰ as there are some messy bits in it.

Sisco is the Lt.'s buckskin horse. He is given the horse during the Civil War to take to the west with him. He becomes very attached to Cisco, and to the wolf he names Two Socks. I think Timmons is the crazy wagon driver who takes him out to the fort in the west?
It is a great film: funny and epic and tragic.

Are you doing a book report?? No fair cheating.
I believe he gets shot when the soldiers return to the fort to find the LT had turned to the side of the indians (this is also where two socks is shot)

I'm not doing a book report. School's out.
Why would anyone want to shoot a wolf? They're my favorite animals next to koalas and tree kangaroos...

white man's disregard for nature compared to Native American's respect for nature
They shoot the wolf for fun, for sport, but they get their comeuppance.
They shoot the horse in trying to kill Lt. Dunbar πŸ™

Sounds like a depressing film. I will cry if I see any animals die. Thanks anyway guys. I think I will save my money for a toe ring instead.

I own this movie and I love it. But no matter how many times I have seen it, the absolute worst part is when Two Socks gets killed and makes me cry everytime. πŸ™

Aww rachel, it's better than a toe ring, believe me. I know it is sad iin parts, but it is a great film that teaches important lessons about life, amn's inhumanity to man and to nature.
