My friend described it to me. 1st level characters in particular are stronger I understand. It seems to be very different.

I concur. They did away with alignemts (except lawful good) and they are trying to turn the game into World of Warcraft. They also wrecked the miniatures game while they were at it. Thanks Hasbro.:'(

I looked at the spells. They're done way differently. It's interesting but not D&D. For example, I think Fireball is like 6th level and does 3d6+small bonus damage. Three levels have been added to a lot of spells. They've been made more interesting in some ways; the Shield spell (still 1st level) casts itself whenever you get hit, making it a sort of one shot force field that gives +4 AC for one attack. All classes get spell like abilities and they go up to level 29.

It's way different.
