Yes it is, and before you all go looking for the nsasty man who did it, it was me. After, I might add, repetitively warning Ed that he was about to time out, will be timed out unless he did something, and timed out. During this process I was watching his movements, and he made 5 moves in other games, and joined a clan, so it wasnt as if he was inactive.
What is the big deal about someone getting timed out anyway, we all know the rules, and we stick to them. He should have no complaints. It just seems that he has thrown his toys out of his pram because he lost another game. He was due to lose a few anyway. I am/was beating him in another 3, and I know of at least 4 other players beating him in 1 or more games. Ed has this annoying habit of taking the FULL amount of time allowed in all the games he is losing, so eventually he will slip up, as he did with feivel and myself.

Plus a lot of people have gained a lot of points due to this (which I personally find quite unfair of him) He should have played his existing games and not cherry-picked which ones he wanted and which he didn't. And the games that he does carry on ... I mean he is a very strong player now with a really low rating ... those people he is going to beat now will fall in rating considerably ... )

Originally posted by Prawn SarnieYou haven't done anything wrong. I can fully understand why you did what you did, many people have commented on Ed's tactics. If he was on vacation, or just couldn't make moves, then it wouldn't be fair to timeout a player, but seeing as he's on the site most days, making moves, then you were right to do what you did :p

Isnt there some sort of rule against rigging results to affect ratings?

I have to say that no matter what was going between you and him during the game it's your absolute right to time him out (as David Tebb made a list in a different thread, he has done that very frequently himself) ... If he now deliberatly lowers his rating and beats you, it will cost you a lot of points and show how childish his behaviour is ... GOOOD LUCK FROM MY SITE TO BEAT HIM (PLEASE)

That seems lame, and I thought MR. D was a straight up guy.
