Would you have a problem with it Mr Red Night?
Yes, Ms. Fiesta, I would. And I'm not talking about making an isolated joke about canada, I'm talking about a continuous persona dedicated to the purpose of denigrating all canadians with some warped caricature.

That would actually be something I'd really like to see. If done right, it could be hilarious.

Red Green made a living out of it on the CBC for 15 years.

Not to mention the McKenzie Bros. from SCTV.

Is it racist to say Italians eat alot of pasta?

Is it racist to call people in England fog-breathers, or that they eat fish and chips?

Is it racist to talk about the towell that Arabs where on their heads?

What is racism and what isn't? Some people are way more sensitive then others, and some people are just plain cry-babies.

I think a good guidline to this is something my grandmother used to say, and it went a little like this:

"Don't say anything about anyone that you wouldn't want the whole world to know that you said it."

I guess it wouldn't be racist. But it certainly is not polite to refer to their headdress as a 'towel'.

And not all Arabs wear turbans, you know... It's mainly an Indian and Sikh thing...

Towel-Head is a pretty well known racial slur.

He does do that.

He's always telling me to drink my maple syrup, chop some ice, eat some round bacon, etc. etc. etc.

But I don't take offense, because he's a my bud and he's just doing that because us buds like to rip on each other...
Canada is a nation, not a race... I've also apologized to a Canadian who was upset when I called your navy 2 canoes. Scribs would never take accountability if someone were offended by what he said, joking or not.
