I just noticed that I had two recommendations removed from my post that stated that I would rather eat a light bulb and drink pee then resubscribe.

This could possibly be my first ever de-recommending. I can only assume that it was to keep the post off the recommended page list.

To this I say, ha ha.

Were I able I'd un-de-recommend you but alas I cannot.😳

Just as a matter of interest, do you have a reason for being unwilling to resubscribe?

Why would you write that anyway? This is one of the most thoroughly thought out, most functional web experiences I have ever had!

In 2004, I initially subscribed for chess purposes but only kept my subscription up because of the private forums as 6 games at once is really enough for me. Now that the private forums are no longer attractive to me, there would really be no reason for me to subscribe. My recent chess binge is also quieting which really leaves with even less of a reason to be here. I still enjoy the public forums between my lengthy bans and when Very Rusty is not around but there's NO WAY I'd pay $40 US for a subscription when that feature is free.

Someone obviously took my half-joking post VERY SERIOUSLY and considered it dangerous to this business.

To that I say again, ha ha.

Well, can't argue with that I suppose. I thought from your tone that there was maybe a touch of bitterness involved!

As much as I like to give the admin a hard time here for the mediocrity of this site and its moderation, who am I to blame them when they are no doubt bringing in a lot of cash for it? If I could make so much easy cash and only have to deal with the inane mutterings of a bunch of forum losers, I would do the same thing.

The one moderator I was having a big pissing match with has been conspicuously quiet the last couple of months. Given that, I will agree as well that it's been better. 😛
