P.S. If I could, which I cannot, would launch a new thread right now.

Title: 'Skillz I Have'. Initial Post: 'Turning off my younger friends.'

Go back to sleep, D. You're all tuckered out from your romantic trip.

May 15 Entry: The proportionate mix of general forum posters (and threads) seems to be changing. New club forums retain the classified

awol/mia stats on the quick, the brain dead and the walking wounded. Not an imponderable event, just part of the routine janitorial process.

Hey, D, please remember to pick up a package of pencils, pad of lined white paper and some beer, this afternoon, on your trip to town.

P.S. Thanks, D... at least you remembered the paper and pencils.

May 16 Entry; Yesterday was another terrific day. Forty five minute phone conversation with a trusted RHP friend, after dinner, made my

evening. Thought for The Day: 'Marriage changes passion. Suddenly you realize you're in bed with a relative.' Thanks for a great week.

May 17 Entry: Preakness Day today, D. All binoculars will be on Big Brown... but the smart money will

be including the animal rights activist folks in the final trifecta, since they're a sure bet to steal (the)

Show. No need to wait up for me tonight. I'll be able to read my own stories and say my own prayer.

P.S. Forgot to mention a country song I heard today that you might enjoy... not a perfect one, no trains, dogs,

pickup trucks or jail or divorce. Just an innocent recollection, tad corny at the edges but still a good laugh.

Song's by Confederate Railroad. Hope it helps brighten your day...

May 19 Entry: Know you like fairy tales, D, so here's a short one

for you. And do us both a favor-- make today a great day!

Short Fairy Tale (Circa 2008)

One day, long ago...

There lived an RHP General Forum poster

who didn't spam, troll, flame or whine.

This was an xym you could actually enjoy

sustained conversation with and at the end

you would both come away knowing more

than you did at the beginning.

But this was a long time ago...

and it was just that one day.

THE END

May 20 Entry: D, for whatever the combination of reasons, there seems to have been an encouraging, gradual though noticeable,

improvement in the quality and variety of general forum threads during May. The usual percentage of intrusive posts are far

outnumbered by the thoughtful ones and are being absorbed, in passing, rather than confronted with strain and memorialized.

Anyway, 20 dark no new thread days down/11 to go. No hits, no runs, one error during the exile. Hmm... 'improvement' and 'exile'.

No, couldn't possibly be some related cause and effect. No way. -b

May 21 Entry: Dear D, always been taught that nothing worthwhile in life is accomplished without concentration. Ever notice that when you

go straight to the hard parts, at times, you realize you're listening to the sound of your own breath. Did two laps in the pool today and a

half one under water. Concentrated the whole while but never heard my breath once. One of those exceptions to the rule, I guess.

May 24: Still cannot believe my parents bought 10 pizzas last night. Little brother is going to a little bowling party tonight. Parents are hosting a party....no current plans. IM'ing seems to be on the agenda for later....
