a small boy wearing a lifejacket fell overboard when the boat hit a submerged snag and overturned, lifejacket got caught on something and child could not be rescued in time. His grandfather had taken him out on the boat for his birthday celebration. Child's parents had been killed in a road accident months ago. That grandfather is already suffering the loss of his only son, now he's lost the grandson too.
