Very likely that they pick random people from random countries who have never played in a lottery and let them win millions of dollars!

So I don't know all that much about debit cards , and being that I'm 18 and will be at college next year I should probably figure this stuff out:
So, when you have a debit card, and use it do you get charged a fee for your purchase? My mom seems to think that banks will always charge between $1.50 and $2.50 for every purchase I make with a debit card. ...[text shortened]... ..). So, if somebody could help me out and explain these debit card fees to me it'd help.
Right; in the UK
Debt card = no charge usually
Credit card = often a charge for internet purchases as they treat it like you are withdrawing cash from the hole in the wall. [in other words, a rip off]
With some credit card purchases you are not charged a fee. [plus you are normally insured - sort of]
probably similar conditions where you are located.
