Hello to all, I have been given a Dell Laptop Inspiron 1200 ...when I go to start it the screen stays blank but the green lights are on so there's power there ,but , it's like the contrast has been turned right down (it's not) as i can just make out the logos as it starts up, then nothing ...is it worth me getting some help from an engineer or not
Cheers for any help you can give,
Diane

I managed to replace one once and it required soldering, but if you know anyone who plays around with computers and electronics they may be able to help you with it. Of course they will need to find a replacement bulb for it as well.
If you live somewhere that has local computer repair shops it wouldn't hurt to ask someone for an estimate to fix the video.
