just thought it would be nice to get some ideas on this.

Something i wonder: if every human voted for the american president, not just the usa citizens voting. She/he ends up ruling over us all. He/She applies justice to us all. So we should all have our say.

i wonder what percentage of the world would vote for bush?

US president sounds pretty important... is he the ruler of the world now?

Florida messed up votes... I would hate to see Russia or France do the same thing!

What about the New World Order... What do you think of a united Earth? What do you think of Blue Money... no more Dollers and Yens....

Eeek... this could go on!

Flex, do not forget that popular vote is not the votes that count in this country. Of course I'm sure the whole world got an entire lesson on our system of government back in 2000....

As for Bush, probably a lot less than he got here. The USA is much more conservative than most of the developed nations, particularly in Europe.

We, in this country, have a very silly and antiquated system in place called the Electoral College. It has some peculiar laws, one of which is that electoral votes can supercede the popular vote in certain instances (before Bush, Benjamin Harrison's election in 1888 is the only clear-cut example of this ever happening). I don't feel like typing it all out here, so you can go here: http://www.fec.gov/pages/ecmenu2.htm to read up on it.

I am from U.S. and I would be curious to hear real people say what they think of America and our President. Any opinions? But that might be a controversial subject.

My personal opinion about the initial question would be that I wouldn't think that Bush is very popular in a lot, maybe even most of the world. An instance comes to mind, I'm not sure where at the moment (It's really late and I'm really tired), maybe Africa? Where they were holding up signs in the capitol saying things like "We love America" and "Please help us Bush", and we sent like 7 troops. That's 7 (underline).

You're talking about Liberia, where the thug Charles Taylor had to leave but not before U.S. troops (Marines) arrived to provide some stability. It was more than 7; more like a couple of hundred on the ground and several thousand stationed offshore. Once again, when the down-trodden starving masses need rescuing, it's "We love America" and "Please come save us", but when America (and Britain)frees 25,000,000 people from a dictator such as Saddam, then it's "Yankee imperialism", "American hegemony"...we're damned if we do and damn if we don't. 🙄

I take it you've picked up a few David Icke books? Wise decision.

that reminds me of a quotation by g.k.chesterton:

"democracy means government by the uneducated, while aristocracy means government by the badly educated."

I remember the polls. In Belgium 80 % would have voted Gore.
And that was before Iraq ...

And Gore may have been good for Belgium. Gore is a Clinton disciple who espouses gay marriage, soft drug laws, socialistic welfare for the masses, high taxes and secular encroachment on everything Christians hold dear....and your military would have gone to $hit....so, please come and get him and take Dean with him...😵

if what you say about gore is true then i would vote for him.

except giving $ to the military - i would much rather starve all militaries of funds as much as possible.
