@hakima saidWhoa. With the current cost of regular gas in Washington and Oregon @$5.55/gal and California being $6.43, unless you drive an EV, that’d be a costly vacation.🤔😲😉
Take a week and drive south 1200 miles from Seattle to Los Angeles on Highway 1 along the Pacific Coast.
Make it a vacation!
@great-big-stees saidI had a little over three quarters of a tank of gas, and figured I'd top it off as prices change sometimes twice in a week. It is at 2.15 right now. It was close to 35 liters and $75.00, yes I have a big tank. So I try not to let it get below the three quarters of a tank. That Should last me a few weeks as I don't travel that much, unless something unseen comes up.

@very-rusty saidHaving a car would mean complications for me, so the easiest thing is to live close to public transport which I do. When I was younger I used my bike a lot.
I have gotten use to living the good life after coming from a poor but happy family growing up.

@torunn saidThat was how I got around as a teenager on a bicycle. 🙂

@badradger saidSo another way of saying walking. I admit I'd probably walk a lot more than I do if I didn't have a vehicle. I think once this one is worn out that is it for vehicles for me at my age. It is like having another family all the money one has to put into them. Now with the price of gas, and repairs it even costs more insurance, routine maintenance.

@torunn saidBuy a Dutch-style bike, you'll love it again.
