1. Reef - Glow. For Place Your Hands if nothing else. Play this when you're painting your hut/canoe.
2. U2 Achtung Baby. Don't listen to it much anymore but when I was a teenager it got played a lot. Play this when you're missing your girlfriend.
3. Blankey Jet City - Harlem Jets. Great Japanese band. Play this when you don't want to understand any of the words.
4. Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Greendale. Maybe it's just my sense of humour but this always makes me smile. Play this when you're right on the edge of cutting your throat because you've been on the island too long and your sanity is slipping or when you start thinking about killing other people on the island with large rocks.
5. John Lennon - Wonsaponatime. This has selections from is anthology including a take on Imagine where John is getting shitty with someone. Play this when you are trying to create a utopia on your island.
6. Queen - The Best of Queen. I still find it amazing that the music of someone as camp as Freddie Mercury is so popular with sports jocks all over the world. I guess an amazing voice and a powerful song can overcome great barriers. Play this when you're playing baseball, soccer, football, volleyball, Grab the Coconut or Kill the Castaway.
7. Midnight Oil - Blue Sky Mine. Who said musicians shouldn't get involved in politics? Play this when you want to dance like you've just been plugged into an electric socket.
8. Hunters and Collectors - Collected Works. This, in my opinion is Australian rock at its best. Play this at any time.
9. Nirvana - Unplugged in New York. Unlike a lot of other grunge bands they proved they could sound amazing even with just an acoustic guitar and a microphone. Play this when you want something for everyone to sing and sway along to.
10. Bob Marley - Legend. If you're gonna go to an island you have to have reggae. Play this when you are smoking and looking at an amazing sunset.
