@kevin-eleven saidThe last time I drove through there it sure looked like it, but the locals said it has looked like that for several hundred years.

@kevin-eleven saidDo you really think the Russians are that uninformed as to start a war with the U.S.A., knowing they will lose. Everyone knows the Russians only fight wars they know they can win and out gun the opposition 10 to 1 so to speak.
In that case, thank goodness we will only be at war with Sparky Cactus whenever she returns. 😉
If there was ever a time the United Nations did more than just sanctions, it is now!
Hopefully things are going on behind the scenes we know nothing about. Boris sounded quite upset what is going on and that is what he said publicly.

If not for article5 What is NATO Article 5?
What is it? Article 5 is a key pillar of the 1949 North Atlantic Treaty — also known as the Washington Treaty — and is based on the principle of collective defense. It means that an attack on one member of NATO is deemed to be an attack on all. If only Ukraine were part of NATO.
It appears Ukraine are putting up a better fight than the Russians were expecting. I say good for them. I think NATO should support them as much as they can within that damned Article5.
