Forums are like dinner parties.

Some come because they're interested. Others just come for the whine.

Aren't the best of them the ones that have stimulating conversations and beer?

Didn't know an equivalent word for beer, sorry. I don't know anything about dinner table conversations, I'm antisocial. Do any have "stimulating conversations" or are they just the usual stuff?

I think "stimulating conversations" are in the ears of the participants ( what stimulates me may or maynot stimulate you or anyone else), not unlike beauty and the beholder.

I usually go for the food 🙂

...and the beer 😀

Not sure about the conversation. They are usually shrouded in social niceties and small talk, about how nice the food is. 'Mmm these potatoes are lovely. How did you cook them?'

Blurghh!

Disagree: At dinner parties everyone kisses each others butts!

In Forums most try to kick each others butts!

One learns, or should learn, to avoid the former types of "dinner parties" although I suppose there are those who take longer, or choose to use them to climb the corporate/social ladders, than others to distinguish the differences eh?
