Discussion using only one syllable words

General

Folk that speak my tongue know the tale of its birth and the change that took place. If we go back in time, we find that the old words were short. But the folk who came from France brought words that were not so short and so now we have a mix of long words and short words. Let us talk of things ~ the old way ~ just with short words.

You jest like a knave with just a K which won't lead to chats that change this small world we live in, here where guys and gals play chess and type words, be they good or bad ~ or dull.

Is this style of speech fun?
Seems void of laughs.
Seems a bit dull.
Not to add to your chaffs.
But words need to shine, not crawl...
...out in the sun.

You make this seem true with your own words.

How would it be if you tried a bit more to give those laughs and a bit less to land your blows?

Short words, poor chat in the long run.

I beg to diff...er... wait, um... to hold what you said not to be true, for I think the tongues, in a mix, of the Danes and the Jutes and the two ones that i must not say that start with A and S ~ gave us words and a voice that can give us chat rich with grit and wit, not so far from the spakes of Spurs fans in pubs near their ground.

I don't quite get it but if you say so - let's see how long this thread will go on.

I know someone who can make the thread go on and on all by themselves! 😉

Let's keep this thread the way it is meant to be and go by the rules, no big thing.
