Same as any other generalisation - some do, some don't.
Some see us as faraway cousins from the old country and love the accents, the place. Some see us as arrogant, ex-empire types.
There are probably as many opinions as there are americans.
As for the majority opinion - who knows?

They threw our tea in Boston bay.
They dressed up as Moikans, just in case.
The question should be:
What do we think about them?
We brought them Blacks for slaves,we should have had tea in return.

I always heard that the English were exploiting the Americans which is what lead to the Boston Tea Party and the Independance War.
But recently I heard that the Americans wanted independance so they could charge even more taxes.
Any truth in this, or have I got half the story as usual? 😉

Two nations divided by a common language... 'spelled' is correct in American English, I believe.

I just wish the people who want the war would not lie to us about their reasons. An attack on Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11. Iraq was not responsible for 9/11. The US and UK both have ties to Al-Qeada. Known members live in London. An attack on Iraq will not stop another 9/11.
i'm not even convinced 9-11 has any links to the taliban. maybe al-qeada but the taliban was governing the country. thats like declaring war on britain because the ira blows something up...

wow, what a wealth of intelligence from rebel bob there. us interlectuals, who stop to consider the coniquences are the decay of western socity, and not the redneck hillbillys of the world running around with basic highschool education. "i say we kill em now". Interlectuals built the nuke as a deterant to war, U tested em in water and on land, people like u started the cold war! people like u destroyed the idians because they valued the climate over money. People like us seek a peaceful solution, u crave war.

On America putting there foot in it.
America funded the Afghan war machine, suppling it with money and weapons.
America trained Osama Bin Ladin 1979-1989 Russian-Afghan war (hired by the CIA) intelligence my arse
America trained Iraq in tactics of war, including methods of torture.

the above is in american records... argue out of that RB!!!

PS American precision bombing
IE laser targeting...
hit during Afghan campaign
1 wedding
1 red cross hospital
1 Afghan resistance tank
3 Canadians + offroad vechicle in training ground
1 American Field base.... a 2000lb bomb HURTS people, HIT THE RIGHT TARGET

also CARPET BOMBING negates precision of any bombing system. nalpam, is certainly not precise by any definition of the word.
Afterwards, more people are killed by undetonated bomblets (cluster bombs) than from land mines.

Perfectly true - at the time of independence the americans were the least taxed people in the british empire - even less than "us" back in the "motherland". in boston there was not even, apparently, a tax on tea. the reason for the revolt was for colonists (not the colonisers) to hike up tax on imports. The "new" reason is apparently due to the desire for "self representation" and "religious freedom" - very pertinent concepts in the modern world
