I'm sure someone does! Because they're crazy! Because they're sane!

is it really so hard to beleive that there are, well, superior beings out there? why is todays society so determined to find an explanation for everything? explain this: cause and effect. effect=big bang. cause=? God, perhaps? is it really that difficult to phathom, just as it is hard to spell?!?

you may as well ask does :

a. buhda exsist
b. alalah
c. the devil
d. E.Ts
e. faries
f. jehova , and the list goes on

it also depends on how you would define a angel . i could say i have a angel in my 5 yo daugther . does that count !! is a angel someone who has a special gift or talent ??? . is a angel a good person who helps a other in need.?? So to awnser the question , are there angels in this world , i would say , Yes, wether they are sent from heaven or just products of their environment is unknown.

These points have caused great debate overtime betweeen men and their religons. who is to say what is the one true faith, and why are so many people killed all in the name of god ?? is one god more rightous than another??... now there are some questions to pose to the people of the RHP world .

People become blinded by their beliefs and lose touch with reality , than justify killing each other all in the name of god.😠

one of the ten commandments are "Thou Shalt Not Kill" means that people that actuly belive in the word of God do not go around killing, twisted people sometimes go on a killin spree and then say they did it for God but they didnt, they lied.

so dont go around saying that where all gonna kill everyone.

Yes I belive in Angles also I belive in God and the Devil (I do not worship the devil, but I know he is there)

Hi Alan.

First ... I don't claim to be an expert, but:

No. Most serious people see the size of the universe and the tenacity and abundance of life on our pretty little world and believe that there are probably beings out there. Some superior, some inferior. The point is though that until you get to know them, there is no way of knowing relative rank. I'm not sure that it would even be appropriate to immediately try to figure a rank. This is what gets humans into a lot of trouble here on earth.

Why is todays society so determined to find an explanation for everything? Fear. We hate the dark and the danger of places and things we don't understand. Monsters are the chief reason we invented God. Makes the world more safe and we need that.

Cause and effect. Hmmm... Let's see. The simpler the better. We could invent a song. Then a dance. Then a ceremony. Then a priest to supervise. Then masks for the ceremony. Then rules for the audience. This is what primitive societies do when they come across a Magic. A Magic like gun powder for example. This is what they need to alieve their fear and allow use of the stuff. The truth is that we have several plausible "causes" for the big bang that are simpler than "god". Until there is reason to increase complexity, go with the simple. Gun powder and Big Bangs are not magic. If you think God is "real" and the Universe is "real" then... WHERE DID GOD COME FROM? Ultimately, didn't God have to "grow" or "evolve"? To say that "Poof! God Is!" is much more complex than the big bang. Added complexity that, like the ceremony for gun powder is not required.

The whole argument of gods, devils and angels is rather an academic one. In my funnier moments i ask myself... "If God wanted us to believe... he would have an office in New York or London." Everything ever written, felt or attributed to God has come from us, not God. Damn those dark, dangerous places all to hell. No matter. God will protect us.

Someone has looked after me more than once, i believe it was my guardian angel.

It is my belief and i am sticking with it. With no desire to justify it to any of you.

I think Angels are abstractions that represent virtue. I'll let you decide if abstractions are real.🙂

Billy Graham wrote a very good book about angels a few years back. It quotes scripture for all points expressed and overall has some very interesting points to ponder. I think it would be a good read for anyone interested in angels.

As for myself, I believe. 🙂

The important word is 'believe'. Not 'know'. If it was 'know' then there'd be no discussion, no choice, no free will.

When I decided I could no longer believe... I had to choose wheather to make a big deal of it or just live and let live. My entire family and all of my friends were religious, so the choice I had was to try and convert them to my position, ignore any and all differences or to explain my position and go on from there. I chose the last option, and 33 years later it has worked out well. Furthermore, in the last 5 years or so I have come to see that my friends and family get great joy and satisfaction from religion.

I recently told a friend from high school who was trying to get me back into the Mormon church that I could never do that. I then said..." But on the other hand, I would never, ever try to change your mind on religion. It means too much to you and your family. For me to try and denigrate that would by selfish and childish on my part. I am nothing but happy for you." And I meant it completely. Life is too short to try and deny others joys in their beliefs. Beliefs are as big a part of being human as knowledge is.

So believe as you will. I like that. I express my views on religion openly, but say to all RHP members, Believe as you will. I only hope that you gain some comfort and happiness from your beliefs.
