I would love to get graded coins but all of the horror stories of fakes keep me away.
Especially the eBay fakes.
The coins I collect are old and have history but it would cost more to fake them than the price of a real one.
Mostly old circulated dimes and quarters.
If I ever make it to a coin show/auction I do have a wish list ðĪ
1921 peace dollar ms60 or ...[text shortened]... gle ms70.
An 1858 large cent any grade (officially Canada's first coin)
The list goes on and on...
In graded coins, you should get them certified by NGC or PCGS.
Those Carson City Morgans are expensive.
My coins are US with a few from other countries.
In 1921 Peace dollar look for the "high relief".
@patzeringsaid The guns are fine. I believe everyone should have them. I was raised around more guns than most people so it's a non issue for me.
My ðĪŠ face was because after his comments about collecting foreskin I saw a mental image of someone wearing it as jewelry.
I suppose foreskin could technically be a ring right?
@patzeringsaid Any collectors out there?
I collect coins.
Nothing expensive, I collect for the history.
Tomorrow I'm getting some dimes from the WWII era. ðĪ
i collect disappointment,
i gather it by the truckload...
i love its oozing green features,
and the impending doom that's foretold...
@Ghost-of-a-Duke I wish I could afford collecting art, as my father did - he gave me paintings that he had bought on different occasions that I love. I don't think they are worth anything to anyone but me, but they stay with me as part of my Life.
Aside from accumulating books, I suppose I do in a way collect some of them, in the areas of science fiction, magic (tricks not occult), and writer's manuals.

I'm thinking we may have an entrant in the RHP Prose Competition perhaps? ðĪ
