I was looking through this ancestry search engine at http://www.ancestry.cyclops.amnesia.com.au/electoral/ and found out that my great ancestors were workers at the qing dynasty treasury. Does anyone know what their ancestors did? Any criminals?

I know my lines in very different depth. One line is back to the 14th century (small German aristiorcracy) some lines vanish in the early 19th century.

All in all not much different from everybody elses I presums: a few aristocrats, a lot of craftsmen some public servants the odd child our of wedlock.

On my mothers side I am descended of one of the first 14 log cabin owners in Vermont. On my fathers side I am a descendant of Ethan Allen. Throw a few 19th century and early 20th century immagrants, and you get the glory that is meπŸ˜€πŸ˜

One line on my father's side can be traced back to the Battle of Hastings.
My direct ancestor is mentioned in Shakespeare's Richard II.
My paternal great-grandfather was recommended for a Victoria Cross. He didn't get it, but he was recommended for it. (I now have all the family's military medals and I think a VC would look fabulous in my safety deposit box!)

One of my ancestors came over from Ireland, one step ahead of the law, never found out what he did but he got a large family going in the midwest, around 1800. Traced my Granma's name, McCart to about the year 700 to a king named Mac Art.

wow so many people here have been living in the us for generations. I rather have my parents moved to australia only in the last 30 years. Anyway did anyone find any discrepancies between what your parents told you and what the ancestry site resulted? My one was perfect. No differences

My ancestors on my Father's were criminals who were one of the first colonists of Georgia with General Ogelthorpe.
