Do you have a tattoo? If so, where is it? What is it a picture of?

Mine is a tribal design that I did myself, with a kokopelli in the center. Black and white. Right deltoid.

How did you do it yourself on your deltoid?

Funny, I just posted this in Mokko's thread.

Just one, chinese symbols for strength, love, goodluck, in a vertical line between shoulder blades.

Have had it for roughly 13 years now, it looks great still.

No tattoos as such, but numerous scarifications ranging from letters and names to chinese symbols. Most not very visible these days unless I get a sun tan.

The modern inks these days are hypoallergenic, likely far less toxic than what you shove down your throat every day.

When I was a kid, my neighbor Harvey Prentice was an old ex-navy man. He had several tats. He'd always be out mowing the lawn with his shirt off. All of the ink on his tats had bled and morphed into giant blue blobs that looked like cancerous bruises. I've wanted several tatoos in my life, but thinking of Harvey's melanoma like plague spots on his arms has always stopped me.

My father's self-inflicted wounds had the same deterrent effect on me.
