I think it's all determined by the direction that water swirls down the drain. I don't think they do anything in certain parts of Arizona. Does the water just go straight down the drain in AZ? What about toilets? Does the same northern/southern hemisphere thing apply to swirling water in toilets, or is it just drains? Maybe the swirling thing is just an urban legend. I don't know. My head hurts.
