I deeply appreciate your post sasq.
I am losing just now my only family. My dad has a lung cancer.
So my little pets are my company.

Well, this may be totally out of topic. But I felt the need to tell it.

Heartfelt condolances CrazyLilTing...
All I can say is to help him enjoy all the time he has left.

Thanks KW.

My little pets are helping me to overcome this.
Dogs (and other animals) don't have conciousness of what death is. Until they "sniff" it, i.e, the dead of his bud. I think it's cruel to let they do so. I have a couple of dogs, (f/m). but they are like brothers.

I'm sure if one of them pass, the other will follow almost inmediatly.
They are way too companion.

I think we have to learn a lot from animals.

And. pun intended, dogs don't know how to derive. But they know how integrate....

P.S.: going to attend dad. BRB in minutes I hope.

They can. It is very limited capacity. but enough for the specie surviving.
E.g.:
"One puppy, two puppies, three puppies... Many".
They don't know the disapperance of a puppy out of many. But below a certain number, they will notice it.
So, they can count.
