Happy New Year to all you party animals!

Remember don't drink and drive, plan how you will be getting home in advance, like before you even leave home if you are going out to party.

I think it actually has a benefit to my digestive system. I could probably get the same thing by taking Brewer's Yeast tablets. 🙂

We didn't drive anywhere. It was like a huge party in the "Hood" I live in. Fireworks, people dancing outside, Mariachi bands, and that was just the apartment next door. 😕

I didn't think you were allowed to drink actually.

Not, that it is going to stop you.

I asked my doctor, he said many of his patients drink in moderation, and have no ill effects. I drank one beer about a month ago and I monitored my blood sugar, it went up slightly, then went down quite a bit. In some people alcohol seems to intensify the effects of the meds. Of course the alcohol turns to sugar, but I think it metabolizes more rapidly than sugar or carbs ( Carbs is a duh) So I eat after I have a beer, and watch BS.

I check my blood sugar, and I check it often. 🙂

I've been told blood sugar readings peak around 3-3.5 hours after consuming things.

Our "booze bus" people make borderline overlimiters take a second reading 30 minutes later, to allow for recent alcohol consumption which hasn't shown up yet.
