I was wondering why some blondes take dumb blonde jokes so personally. It's not their jobs to turn into those people, so what's the big deal? I am a blonde myself and when people in my class tell them, I think their hilarious. Yet the other girls in my class just seem to be too stuck up to laugh at themselves. And it's not only about the jokes. It seems whenever they make a mistake they turn their noses up and seem to say, I meant to do that. Is it just me or are some (not all) blondes to uptight?
Remora, these girls are most likely a little insecure and are afraid to admit fault (especially in front of others). They should develop self-esteem as the grow up and be able to laugh at themsleves or even make fun of themselves later in life......But good on your for realizing a little fun isn't going to hurt you.
Just my advice as Nicole, your new bestest friend 😛
BTW, I'm going to a dance tonight and wearing that blue dress I told you about. Do you think I should leave my hair down or go to the slaon and have it put in an up do?

Originally posted by Remora91the fact that they do not laugh at what are essentially just another form of racism, does not make them 'stuck up'.

one does not have to be blonde and female in order to oppose derogatory comments based on color, creed, sex or a combination thereof.
good for your classmates who are refusing to let societal bigotries determine who they are and how they are thought of!
in any situation like this, one can always rationalize the 'accepted' way, or work towards developing attitudinal change.

Originally posted by pradtfi must agree with you here....it is the same as "your momma is so fat jokes", these pick on inequalities of the person and are another form of bullying in my mind. My friend had these blond jokes passed on to her since she was a child...now 11 years on she is convinced that she is stupid because she has blonde hair and totally has no self confidence and in the end dyed her hair brown. 🙁

Instead of coming up with a comeback or pretending for once that they are not blonde and laugh at themselves they must stick their nose in the air. They are just so stuck up that it's not good for anyone. And I doubt they have mean to strike or stop it.

after all, if one is to get indignant, one should at least seek a good cause 😀
