I've got a Dvd that i bought recently, unfortunately the rest of the family love it and watch it. In the process it gets a lot of "wear and tear". To solve the problem I decided to copy the Dvd, unfortuneatly it won't fit on the 4.7gb blank dvd disk.
Anyone got any ideas please?
You put one disc into the player and the other into the recorder...
Man....RTFM! (read the fcuking manual).

If you'd just illegally ripped it off the Internet like the rest of us, you'd have a nice copy on your hard drive to easily burn onto numerous discs that you can flog down the pub for a fiver.

You could get a double layer dvd. They hold 8.5GB on special double-layer discs; that's about 4 hours of DVD video.
You'll need a dual layer burner though.

The blank equivalents are currently too expensive for most people.
Originally posted by Bowmannthe dual layer DVD+R 's aren't that bad.. in Canada they work out to be under 3$ each (tigerdirect has them 67.99$ for a 25 spindle pack) .. I can't find the Dual Layer DVD-R for sale anywhere though, which is what I want.
