i notice that there are a lot of programmers, techs and otherwise knowlegable computer people on RHP. so here is my problem. i use dvd shrink with dvd decrypter, and some movies take up to 100 hours to decode, and then won't burn. i have look ...[text shortened]... ent sites and forums and can't find any reasonable answers. help?
But... my anti-spyware programs caught both DVD Shrink AND Nero6 reporting back to their websites of everything that I burned! Okay, so I agreed with the anti-spyware program to disable that stuff. After I did that, guess what? A dvd that would normally take 45 minutes to burn now took 3 or more hours!
So what's the deal? I'm not sure. I could re-install everything and reach a point where copying a dvd only takes 45 minutes... but I have to ask myself, as I am asking all the people who read this message, is it worth the price that you are paying? I mean, it's pretty obvious that everything you make a copy of is being recorded on a web site... so is it worth the risk? To make copies of stuff that are being recorded against you?
WHY are your actions being recorded by these programs???
I'll tell you what I did... I uninstalled and deleted everything to do with Nero AND DVD Shrink!
