I would expect that just the energy needed to cool nitrogen below -196 C is a bit less eco-friendly than just burying you in a wooden casket.

Nothing more eco-friendly than to leave the body decomposing in the forest: Flowers and trees will blossom around it, and the worms will have lots to eat for years and years.

for a long time i vacillated between having my ashes crushed into a diamond or getting them fired into outer space. then i decided to get them crushed into a diamond, and have the diamond fired into outer space. hell, you only die once. spare no expense, i say. would be nice to have a pyramid erected, too.
