Fist off, did you ask the neighbors? They could probably be of more help. They might even have been feeding him!

Did they have a problem with the noise your pet rock makes? Do you clean up after your pet rock and dump it all in the neighbor's yard? They might have the lil' guy and not even be telling you. You should ask every couple hours for the next week just to be sure.

I'll let you know if I see Edgar on Ebay... I actually deal in Pet Rock trade from time to time, when I'm not looking for beany-babies online.
