Would you say you live in a predominantly Democrat area?

2.5 hours for a midterm election?!? I walked in and voted right away where I am.

I don't understand why America votes on a workday. Here they schedule it for Saturday and in various other places they sort it so election day is a holiday.
Makes it easier to vote.
Let's not even mention broken voting machines (apparently a whole bunch change your votes to Republican at first) and long waits.

No wonder turnout is so hilariously low.

Because you can leave work, to go vote?

Boss: "Where have you been?"
Worker: "Sorry boss, 2.5 hour long waits to vote."

Edit: It feels weird reading about the US election. This is the first one I haven't voted in since I turned 18.

I used to root for the Democrats. But then I realized they're all the same crap.

P-
exactly -- AND start to consider Canada briefly as a viable alternative

But once again my patriotic duty is done, and no matter how little my vote matters to some, at least I'm allowed to vote even though I'm female!

No, you are not allowed to leave work to go vote! UNLESS you are a Republican with an office job! Yes, American business allows their office workers to leave their job to vote, while people doing manual labor are not (Democrat voters).

No, Republican.

Idaho is very Republican.
In fact, the presidential candidates don't even campagn here, because they already know what the results will be.
Or, maybe because they don't know where Idaho is. 😞

Plenty of time to vote for everyone. If you want to vote, you can do it before you go t work or after you get off from work.

I am glad to be able to cast my vote as I did today. To me it would be irresponsible and an insult to those who gave us the privilege to do so, not to vote. I can't understand those who refuse or try to convince others it is useless. It is my opinion it is because of them that we get some of the worst leaders instead of the best leaders.

I voted. I nearly passed out at the voting booth, but I did my part.

Maybe the stories we heard over here in 2004 weren't true then.

People were saying that the ratio of polling stations to voters was much better in Republican strongholds than Democrat strongholds, particularly in the swing states.
