A few years back we started to hear a woodpecker in our local woods. This year we have heard woodpeckers at two different locations in the same woods. Today we heard one coming from a different direction at the edge of the trees. We started waxing lyrical about nature fighting back, planets recovering and the hope that walking in spring sunshine brings. Turned out it was a guy intermittently using a drill on a new build right up against the boundary of the woods. 😳
