Last March I went to celebrate a week of b-days, mine and my mothers included (two days apart). She turned 50 and I reached the big 30. We all had a big party in her fav. bar, live band and all.

While I tend to be a bit towards the conservative side my mother shows up in black, tight, leather pants and the lowest cut shirt you could imagine. Oh well no big deal. As the night progressed my mother is giving out body shots, getting spanked and dirty dancing the night away.

I was still with my guy at the time(his b-day too) who is from a very srtict conservative family. My point? Was I embarressed? Not a bit.

My mother looks great for 50 and worked hard all her life raising us snot nosed little kids. It was great to see her kicking up her heals and having fun. Even if it wasn't my idea of fun.

Did you're Mother ever get embarressed all the times you spit up all over her clothes in public? Made messies in your diaper and stunk up the whole department store? My guess would be no.

And trust me without a doubt you too will one day be come an embarresment in your childrens eyes. Just learn to take it with a grin. Nobody will love us like our families, embarressing moments and all.

Ah, well if it makes you feel better, my mother definitely takes pleasure in embarrassing me in front of peers. Especially when I first started at university - she introduced herself to my flatmates before I had, and asked many inane questions (what do you do with the empty boxes etc), remarking on my 'total lack of common sense' to people I hadn't met yet. As she left she flushed with delight.

And come on guys, if sundream's strongly dyslexic then lay off the harsh comments. Nobody's perfect.

Dunno. Just thought we were having a discussion on the intricacies of the English language.😛

lol isn't it wierd how most dyslexics can manage to spell dyslexia...which always looks like such a hard word to spell!
