Okay, I've had it up ot here with this country. London is rubbish, there's rubbish everywhere, the transport system is rubbish, my job is rubbish, the music scene is rubbish and the people are rubbish. TO cut a rubbish story short, I'm moving.

So it's up to you lot where I'm going to settle. There are certain pre-requisites to this as follows:

1) Crime rate must be low, the lower the better
2) Should be good job prospects for me (IT, website, admin etc.)
3) Live music scene should be good
4) Housing prices not too high
5) Preferably English speaking, but not necessarily as a first language
6) My girlfriend is a teacher, there should be good job prospects for her too, though not essential

So, that's about it, over to you.

I propose a hovel in Turkey. It won't cost much, and music always plays in the street in which you live. You can get a nice job as an opium farmer, and your wife can teach the locals for 2 rupees per session.

Come to New Zealand. Teachers are in short supply. Very little crime. Housing is in a boom but is still dirt-cheap compared to London. We speak english. I like the music, most of it will be new to you as most NZ bands don't end up with international coverage, but it's good.

EDIT: But not Auckland. Thats place is a hell-hole. The South Island is very picturesque.

EDIT2: Forgot to mention you'd be closer to me. That's got to be the clincher.

Well, SA can give you 1/2 out of 6, but we have great weather, hot chicks, the big 5 and AIDS!

and you don`t really hear about the crime! I mean the most that happens is you look around the office and say "hey where`s john?"

Which countries have you already ruled out?

Australia seems to meet all your criteria bar housing, which isn't cheap I think.

There's also Spain. Pretty much meets all your criteria too. Depending on your taste in music.

Paris has it all but it's bloody expensive as I'm sure you know.

Blah blah.
