Group B, France draw after tight tie with England, but coast through other matches, England beat Switzerland comfortably, then Croatia make it hard work for them but still go out.
GroupC, Sweden, convincing qualifiers, struggle in group stage, and Italy and surprise package Bulgaria go through.
GroupD, Germany struggle through lack of invention, with the Czech Republic gaining revenge for Euro 96. Holland coast through (despite customary Handbags in thier players camp), and are joined by Czechs.
Don't know how the knockout stages go draw-wise, but semi-finalists will be England, Portugal, Holland, and Czech Republic (France out in Quarters), with an exhilarating attacking final between Dutch and Czechs being edged by Dutch.
yours, expecting many arguments, Gary.😀
Hometeams always perform well on big tours. France still has a good team although its growing old.
Germany performs well at EVERY tournament :-(
Czech are very confident after beating and drawing against Holland.
I cann't say anything about Spain or Italy ... haven't seen them playing recently.
I would bet a semi-final containing:
France
Portugal
Italy
Germany
with a France-Germany final ... which Germany wins.
I will be glad to be wrong ... 🙄
