Extended down time.

Due to numerous (unfortunate) events, we had extended downtime today. (Over 12 hours)

I have suspended timeouts for 24 hours (possibly a little longer.)

Sorry for this inconvenience, we do are best to keep this service 24/7, but very, very occasionally, things can go wrong. We will endeavour to stop this happening again.

It was software (not ours), and something that I will be investigating further tomorrow hopefully.

Some other bizarre circumstances really tripped us up too. This was also not helped by the fact that I was at a friend's wedding today, and I am currently far away from my office.

Now we are back up, I REALLY need to get some sleep.

Whew! I thought my network admins at work finally tracked down how much time I spend on RHP and blocked me from the site.
I was expecting a call from my boss all afternoon!

Glad to know that I'll be back on tomorrow!
