I stopped using Facebook over a year ago following a scam message that had been posted on a friend’s facebook messenger account which read:

This video of you is so funny 😂

So I clicked on the link which asked permission to go through Facebook (I think) which then led me to a TikTok account at which point I backed out, unfriended my small group of contacts and closed both FB and FB Messenger.

I haven’t missed it one bit. Anyone I have any meaningful contact with can be contacted by what's app or phone.

I don't know anything about social platforms except for Facebook. One of its advantages is that using messenger you can actually see messages being received and read.

I almost never look at Facebook now. I use WhatsApp to communicate with friends, often on a daily basis, including with several good friends I know from here.

whatsapp is relatively benign
it's instagram that's the one and the same and insidious in the nature of its intrusive tracking
i quit facebook years ago when zuckernutt approved of the cambridge analytica fiasco

i tried to use my leftover facebooks as a bog roll
but
the pixels irritate my hemorrhoids
