The 4th of july should be known as "traitors day" πŸ˜›
yes indeed, the irony is that they are more taxed now than they ever were under the sovereignty of the British monarchy. Clearly they were not ready for political representation.

And to make matters worse ,in later years the then president of the usa "Maddison " who had an unhealthy fatuation with matches burned the "Whitehouse "down , scarpered leaving his dinner still at the table and blamed us Brits for the foul deed . I f it wasn't for his missus "Dolly " saving stuff the place would have been a right old tip !!!

Ahhh, the 4th of July. It is an awesome holiday, and what could be more American than celebrating with lots of alcohol, barbecue fire pits and lighting gun powder? Yes!

Gotta go, beer to drink & fireworks to light.

And they wear high heels, suspenders, and a bra ... just like their dear mama!

There are loads of good American beers. They just never make it overseas. When the only exports are Bud and Miller, I can see why you would think that :-)

Once one has tasted Innes and Gunn, hand crafted Scottish blonde beer, matured in oak casks for a slight hint of vanilla, nothing else comes close, except mabe a Czech or Bavarian Pilsner. Some people swear by those traditional English ales, but there too bitter for my taste. I dare say the American micro breweries produce some outstanding beers.

The trend over here is bitter = better, the more hops the better! American (micro)breweries are becoming very good at creating dubbel and trippel-style pale ales and IPAs. I think the Hefeweizens over here are generally rather good too.
