😀 I was terrified of fire, so this wouldn't have been something I'd have tried. It took a long time (and a lot of courage and encouragement) until I even learned to light a match. 😳

-Atari

-Lego

-Marbles

-De-Barking trees (not exactly a toy, but neither is a hairthrower, if you think about it)

-Hitting stuff with a hammer

-Digging holes

-Hammering nails into my dad's work bench, then stretching rubber bands around them

-Stuffed Animal Politics/City (me and my siblings made our animals talked, and we'd hold elections and stuff to decide who was the best)

-Swap meet (ok, this only happened once, but my brother made our toy room into a store that I could sell stuff to. I sold my small Lego set for 2$, but when my mom found out, she made him give me back my Legos, but I got to keep the money. Ah, to be little and cute, again)

-Carnivals (we'd make up and set up various games and have various stands in a carnival type atmosphere)

-One of those spring horses (like a wooden horse, except with springs)

-Hot Wheels/Matchbox

Yes! One of my favorites as well, wish I still had it for my son, he'd like it.

Also liked: Hungry hungry hippo (singing microphone hippo,) and speak-n-spell. Atari 5600.

Always wanted, but never got: The Green Machine. They've revived it recently, but it's crap by comparison.

I always wanted a Big Wheel and never got one (similar to The Green Machine). I still haven't quite gotten over it. 😳 Bought one for my son though, because nobody's the boss of me anymore!

I wasn't big into toys but I did love my Barbie. She was a lawyer with a penthouse. 😀
That's funny because my GI Joe was facing child support charges in a court of law and read Penthouse.

My favorite toys growing up were Transformers. The Destructacons were the best, especially when you combined them all.

It's so funny how toys make a comeback. Transformers are big again.

Yeah it is. I was quite surprised when the Transformers movie came out (which I still need to see). Next thing you know, there were tons of commericals for them. The Death Star even turns into Darth Vader.

The dinosaur transformers were cool, too.
