I like most kinds of food.I really like Mexican food, and one of the local specialties,is what we call green chili,or chile verde. It is used mainly as a sauce to put on top of things.A burrito smothered with green is to die for.

But, yay, this could not last. God was walking along one day when he came across Rosarita's restaurant. Over an hour he ate and ate, tasting everything on the menu: burritos, enchiladas, tacos, jalapenos, you name it.
He had just crossed through the pearly gates when his stomach began to rumble. His eyes widened very wide, and he put a hand over his abdomen. Frantically, he searched for somewhere to relieve himself, but the habaneros were pushing and had nearly broken through.
Finding a hole in the clouds, he pulled at his belt. Sweat was beading on his forehead and neck. His breath came in short, ragged bursts. The belt finally came loose, and he dropped his pants.
Humming, he let loose a steady stream of dinner to the newly formed earth below. This is now known as mud. The jalapenos? Algae.

Ok, here is a recipe that's becoming my personal favorite.
Boil 6 tomatoes until they are really soft. In the meanwhile, put some olive oil in a frying pan, and fry lightly half of a garlic piece; 2 minutes later, add long onion (not the round one but the long one), aprox. 100 grams, chopped. Keep for 3 minutes and then add the soft tomatoes. Smash. Add salt, pepper, and two dried habanero peppers.
After a couple of minutes, take off fire. Then, get two rye bread slices and toast them. When done, put on both slices, uniformly, a thin layer of blue chesse, then some minced chicken (any kind, as long as it's ready to eat... you can even recycle the Kentucky Fried Chicken leftovers from the lunch), then put two slices of salted cucumber, lettuce, and then bath both with the tomatoe salsa.

To die for!!
I have a very unresponsive sense of taste. Most people think it's a curse but for me it's a blessing. OK, I can tell the difference between vindaloo and ice cream but not the difference between Napoletan pizza and Veronese pizza (although I accept Napoletan pizza is the best in the world). So I don't care about fancy recipes and spices, just bung the rice in the pan.
I eat macrobiotic, only lots of it. Quantity not quality.
Originally posted by SeitseIt really sounds like a wonderful dish Seitse. But aren't the habanero peppers the absolute hottest peppers there are? Is the flavor such that it is worth the heat? I eat Jalapenos like they were candy, but... whew that sounds hot enough to scorch a skillet. But who knows maybe with a little sweetened tequila to cool it down. Otherwise I might look like the mouse speedy Gonzales running all over the place with flames on both ends.
