when you were/are/will be 19, did/do/will you sing that 'Hey Nineteen' song to yourself all the time?

when I was 19, steelydan was a small blip on my screen (though i was aware of all their radio hits). Nowadays, they are my benchmark --i'm 32 and rising, by the way. If you get a chance, and you don't know them well, check out the album Gaucho and go right to "Glamour Profession." 😏

my greatest karaoke achievement was singing "my old school" and chugging an entire bottle of beer during the 40 second guitar solo near the end (what else could i do during such a long lull?). I received a hearty applause and a warning from the deejay over the p.a. not to puke on his stage. Ah, good times.

As far as all music goes, no one has touched or will likely ever touch JS Bach.

That said, I don't really have any favorites. I'm listening to Annie Lennox right now.

Except for Ludwig Van. 😛😉

Actually I love Bach too and play a bit of his minor works. If you get a chance, find a DVD of Jascha Heifetz playing Bach's Chaconne. Get ready to have your socks blown off. 😀
