"My favorite thing is monsters" A new graphic novel by Emil Ferris, soon to be a movie. Sony got the rights to the story. Emil contracted West Nile virus from a mosquito bite when she was 40 and had high fever, delusions, hallucinations and such and was paralyzed from waist down for several years, having to relearn to draw again, and had a 6 yo daughter to raise also, rough time for her. Eventually able to walk with cane but it was going through all that which drove her to write this book which took 6 years.
