I'll try to keep my list short, but music is the best next to chess!

Mr. Jones- Counting Crows
Proudest Monkey- Dave Matthews
Nothing Else Matters- Metallica
Round Here- Counting Crows
Well gosh, anything by Nirvana, Counting Crows, Dave Matthews, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Seether, the list goes on...and on...and on...πŸ™„

Just choosing one song is pretty difficult, but if I had to...
1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins (the Acoustic version)

Brilliant song!

I've always quite liked Billy Joel's Piano Man.

Great thread. My favourites.....can we have four?

Cold November Rain - Guns n Roses
Nothing compares to you - Sinead O' Connor
Come as you are - Nirvana
Sweet Child of Mine - Guns n Roses

If I had to pick one it has to be Cold November Rain.I have already instructed my wife to play this at my funeral.Should get the people going and keep them from falling asleep.Nothing quite as sad as two people at a funeral and one of them is asleep.

So tricky, but I like the precedent of four, so how about:

Pretty in Pink - Psychedelic Furs
Roads - Portishead
No Surprises - Radiohead
We Rule the School - Belle and Sebastian

... in no particular order.

Rich.

Well, as I can't really pin-down one. I'm going to have to go with the four option:

Pearl Jam- Black
Pink Floyd- Wish You Were Here
Radiohead- True Love Waits
Led Zeppelin- Immigrant Song

(OK, I had to add another) Led Zeppelin- Stairway to Heaven

Jim.

(Counting Crows- Mr. Jones was also very close)

While we're talking Zeppelin, 'Kashmir' definitely goes on here.

You ever see Counting Crows do that song on Saturday Night Live? Very good, but he seemed to miss a line or 2 and needed to wait for the music to come back around.

Good song.
