File Sharing software for music

Hey all. I know this question has been asked several times in previous threads but I am too lazy to look through them all. Is there a great freebie music sharing site? I've deleted Kazaa off my box due to the havoc it caused. I will probably just use a real one and buy the music but I was curious if there any good ones left?

It's absolutely excellent.

I'm using WinMX, but don't have any particular recommendation about it. It seems ok so far, but some of the previous mentioned ones might be better.

In terms of file-sharing clients:

Sadly, Limewire has become much more of a drain on system resources since the upgrades.

Shareaza is pretty good.

BearShare isn't bad, though it's "addy".

WinMX doesn't work at all on some systems.


"BitTorrents" are usually the most reliable way to get hold of stuff.
